Power steering surge?

Anyone else out there with Hydraulic steering notice a slight rpm surge whilst turning AND backing up ?

I've got about 1300 miles on my X135i so far (2014) and have noticed this from day one..



This COULD spell disaster for some folks while parallel parking.

Yes, absolutely. My 35i has been doing that since I brought the vehicle last year. The surge you speak of only happens when cutting the wheels hard in forward and reverse. My dealer's lead tech said it was normal.
