Squirrels keep eating my PDC sensor!

Hey all - my wife has an E84 M Sport X1 and the front left side (driver side in the US) has had its PDC wiring chewed twice or three times now. I am able to unbolt the undertray and shove my hand behind the bumper and pull the wiring out the front vent and repair the connector each time, but wtf.

The chew the wire so close to the connector I actually had to open the connector and de-pin it to solder wire on again.

Does anyone else have issues with this? They also chewed some splash shield thing I have to look up yet - literally ate the plastic. Driving me nuts.
