Catless Downpipe w/ JB4
So the other day I got ER catless downpipe installed along with jb4.
I love the sound and how responsive the engine is now. I just have to get used to the smell. I still have warranty on my car so will BMW care about the downpipe. They will obvious know it from the smell. Last edited by m3_tristan; 04-13-2016 at 11:34 AM.. |

If you have an engine-related failure, or even possible a drivetrain failure (e.g. transmission), don't count on it being covered if you bring the car in with the JB4 and DP installed.

Okay I'm fine with that but if its an issue not related to the downpipes they can't deny me right? Like I have a ripped seat thats getting fixed under warranty (my other thread). |

Don't worry you can fix it, need to use header wrap on the down pipe
Wrap it with several layers of header wrap it will keep the heat in and The smell will go away along with the cold air intake with more air helps And wrap a good ways down the main pipe. It's what I did. My bmw dealer didn't care I had all that stuff on the car the owner of dealership Is a racer. Any problems with your car just bring it to Richmond VA Bmw |

And I change my mind about the seat rip. Clearly, the increased power pushed you into the seat hard enough to rip the leather. Warranty claim denied!
