Definitely get all the options you can. Mine has everything but lighting package.

Can't remember what all comes with the tech package, but Bavarian tech doesn't hold a candle to Japanese tech. Connected drive sucked and I didn't upgrade it. Gps is ok but entering address info is cumbersome. Updates are expensive. My phone does a better job. Voice commands are pretty much useless. Granted, I haven't taken the time to learn her language, but she doesn't seem to get me. We rarely talk anymore. When we do it ends up in a shouting match.

Get the sport seats. Best I've ever had. Couldn't live without comfort access, either.

Xdrive gets you hydraulic power steering rather than electric. We like that.

Unless you're only driving during the day, the lighting package is a must. The difference between the halogen and the HID lights is huge.

Comfort Access is best if you're switching drivers often. In that case make sure you have electric memory seats as well.

+1 on xDrive for hydraulic steering, but xDrive brings the weak component of this car with it - the transfer case.

As for sports seats... Yes they're comfortable for me, but my wife is 5' tall and they're too long for her and dig into the back of her knees. So we have the standard seats.

Also budget to replace the factory tires very quickly. Run flats are very harsh (especially with the low profile wheels on M package). Also there are far superior tires out there which will significantly improve the overall driving characteristics of the car.

I like the blue, too. That was my first color choice, only with tan interior. Ended up going with my least favorite color combo to get all the features I wanted.

Xenon headlights, for sure. When I said mine doesn't have the lighting package, I meant it doesn't have automatic high beams or interior led's. Xenons weren't on my original list of must haves, though I'm really glad to have them and would have kicked myself had I bought one without.

The prices listed on the cars shown are a bit high. I made an offer $4k less than dealer's asking price. They laughed, then a couple months later sold it for less than my offer.

Good luck in your search.

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely try to offer a bit less. I am a little disappointed in myself because i told them that i had a trade when i should have negotiated the price first and then mention my trade after.

So just go back on the trade - say you got another offer on the trade and you'll sell it privately and that you need them to improve the price. Plus selling the car privately will almost always get you a significantly better deal.

My last car was going to be $9K-$11K trade in, I sold it for $16K privately.

The car salesman/weasel has ways of making you talk. The best car deals I've ever done have been negotiated by email. I once bought a new car out of state at the same place my sister bought an identical TLS Acura. I paid $2k less than she did.

Looks nice...

I got mine in the low 20s, but it is just M-sport -- no ultimate package. It also has much fewer miles. I guess it depends on how much you want the extra features. Is it worth $5000+ for all the goodies? Maybe!

Obviously, you have to decide what is more important. Money? Luxury options? Low miles? CPO? Limited by used car stock in your area.

Guys,
i offered 23k they couter offered at 27k, i then counter offered at 24k and now they are saying absolute lowest at $26500.00. I stood my ground at 24k and ask for an update if they reconsider.

I got lucky and stole this one for $20,500 out the door .....

All done through email, and delivered to my door within 2 weeks. I did not see the car in person nor test drove the unit. I was a bit confident knowing it still have the original warranty and service til 4 yrs or 50K miles.

You got the good one with M Sport.

Color and wheels are great.

I have the s28i M Sport in 18 wheels 355m which I asked for to get lower profile and lower gears 4% on next tire change.

Yours are already as low profile as possible.

Great deal! M Sport is definitely the best trim. Not sure how it's optioned out but looks fantastic.

You couldn't give away a S-drive 28i here. Good looking car, and in your location, the S-drive may be an advantage.

That seems like a really good deal! Looks very similar to mine, but yours has the Fender audio upgrade and maybe real leather? Jealous! At least mine has fewer miles.

I guess the X1 isn't that popular, otherwise it'd be commanding higher prices? The m-sport alone was a $3000 add-on to the $32,000 MSRP...

Best package - the 35i :-D
Comes with the upgraded lighting package, xDrive to disperse the power, cornering lights... Not sure what else is different. I would have liked the tech package for the rear view camera, but I don't need the other fancy bells for the cost. Pro audio has great sound, I may upgrade the speakers at some point. A cheap usb+3.5 mm BT adapter works just fine for audio.
I personally don't like the staggered wheel setup (driving differences as well as tire cost) and the sport seats didn't do anything special for me.
