I need help with the location of the throttle body, and how to access it. Pictures will be a bonus.
Thank you in advance for your help.

N55 motor it is directly under the air box. Not sure what X1 you have and why do you need to access the throttle body?

Sorry, I forgot the reason: For 2 and 4-cycle INJECTION systems, spray continuously into the throttle body using Sea Foam Spray’s Hook Guide and Induction Cleaning Tube.

Thanks.

Wow ! Nobody in this forum knows where the throttle body is located in the N20 engine. Never mind, I founded it, and if anybody interested I will post pictures when I do the seafoam spraying.

It's possible it's just not of much interest to most. FWIW, the throttle body on these cars acts only as an emergency kill switch. The actual "throttle" function is accomplished with variable valve lift. So, under normal operation, the throttle body is wide open all the time. Which means it's essentially no different than any other part of the intake tubing.

If you can take before and after pictures of the valves.
I've done this on two different VW's and was a waste of time. Had to go in with picks and cleaner to get the job done.

I won't be going that far, just spray the seafoam through the throttle. No idea how much it helps but I don't think it hurts the intake system.

Thank you, Portly.
