drove on too low a tire pressure for a while
I just realised i was driving at around 22psi front tyre pressure and 26psi rear tyre pressure for a long time. Might have driven 4k kilometres on it without realising until today. Got the pressure set right. the car is just 4 months old. The tyres look alright and no sign of major wear. You think they might have been damaged to due to driving on such low pressure for so long? Basically my driver misread 2.2bar/2.6 bar for 22 and 26 psi and thats how the car was being driven on such low pressures. I had a flat tyre a few days ago and they replaced the tyre and thats how i got to know that the pressure was set too low. The dealership says all other tires seem to be fine. What do you guys think. ?

That will NOT be a long term problem, IMO. Only if you had hit a curb or large pothole (with low pressure), it may have bent a rim or damaged the tire.
If there is nothing obviously wrong then drive it with confidence. Enjoy! |
