Pics of my lowered X1
here is a pic of my X1, put HR sport springs on it and 19 inch wheels, it changes the whole look of the car, way more agressive..the bmw dealer i had the alognment done at said when they pulled the car out front after service that they had several inquiries asking if it was a New M version of the X1, they actually said they are going to take a new one and set it up same way, get my down pipes in next week....!! ill get better pics, sorry

Thanks for all the compliments, i got the BMS down pipe, not installed yet...i have the jb4 setup, here are some better pics, i used 19 x 8.5 front and 19x 9.5 rear all at 35mm offset no spacers, no rubbing no issues, used the new toyo proxes 4 tires, 235 35 19 front and 275 30 19 rear, with that size tire it is 0% difference diameter from front to rear tires with awd thats important, it handles a lot better, like a sport wagon, rides about the same as with the run flars and 18 wheels, the factory setup, i put the factory mud flaps so the tires look perfectly symetrical with the body, used a lot of mathematical calculations buying the wheels and tires so they look factory.....here are a few more better pics

What wheels did you put on your X1? The pics still look really small because you are attaching them to the post, which is causing downsizing, rather than uploading them somewhere else and posting using [img] tags.

Looks good!
It looks like a fairly reasonable drop for springs alone.....how much travel is left before hitting the bump stops? I'm itching to put my KW's on and have ordered new spring cups etc so I can run the coilovers as a completely separate setup. But the weather gave us a stark reminder yesterday that it's still winter here in Calgary, so I'll wait a little longer. |

Also, what's the part number on the springs you got? I'm thinking about doing the same to mine. I'm just a little confused cause my suspension may heed different springs due to the m sport package.
Your car looks really good lowered like that. |

never measured the drop, h and r claim 1.2 inches front and rear, looks about right, i think its about as low as you can go before other mods might have to be done, like rolling fender edges and such, no issues lock to lock, i just got lucky that everything fit like it did....I was very pleased, ride is a little harsh but it drives so much better, the wheels alone did not do much to the drive as i was able to drive with just wheel change for a few days but the springs did, its very tight and aggressive driving now, but you got to like that kind of ride and handling it might be to harsh for some, to me the drive of the x1 set up factory was a little loose feeling now its way different...

yeah i think it looks a lot more aggressive then the benz, more body lines and detail to the Bimmer...was thinking of adding the side running boards, what do think? too much....

Bumping this thread in hopes that the OP can post up some larger pictures. The attached images are a bit too small to get a good appreciation of wheel gap after install.
Thanks
