jb4 n55 codes need help on bmw x1
hi all i got everthing installed er charge pipe, ar down pipe, er inter cooler, jb4 tune and flex fuel wires, burger cold air intake. when we went to start x1 we got codes. trying to fix today. if you installed jb4 n55 when you started up your x1 or 335 or 135 after install of jb4 and flex fuel did you get any codes?
also did you have to update any soft wear for the jb4 n55 or for the flex fuel? also did you do any data logging yet? lastly i remember some one saying dont hook up the mass air sensor? why? i emailed jon at burger and he said hook it up maybe its something different. please any advice would help. _________ |

If I were you... Doing all the mods at once was probably a big no no.. I would have done one at a time and check for leaks.... I dont know about the flex fuel wires, but you have been running this tune for awhile now with no issues right? I suspect the downpipe and or charge pipe is throwing the code.... it's hard to tell with out knowing what codes are being thrown. Most guys at this stage have the bavarian scanner tool. That should be your next investment!

Did you cut the diode on the board and upload the ISO firmware for the JB4? I have the ER CP, BMS intake, Flex fuel wires, and oil catch can installed with JB4 (ISO 5.3) and am not throwing any codes.
The last log I did was just with the JB4 installed on 91 gas. No problems there though. I also read on n54tech that once you go ISO, the MAF sensor is no longer used. But I also read that it wouldn't hurt, so I left it plugged in. Did you look up the codes? |

I'd just remove everything and start all over... your going to be spending a lot to trouble shoot all the mods you did.... there could be a leak in the IC piping, downpipe etc.... I'd start with the JB4 then add the down pipe, then add the I/C

If you're able to post a video of the exhaust under acceleration and decel that would be amazing and greatly appreciated.
And an acceleration speedo video. On a private track of course. Haha. Thank you! Teri
