Where can I buy really cheap wine?

Looking to buy $2-3 wines. Not talking about Charles Shaw. Saw some at Trader Joe's for $3.99. Where else can I look or who else can I go through? Distributors?

You're not going to start a wholesale wine operation are you, OP?

You know how the rubber went down.

This. Splurge. Get the $3.99 stuff. Not familiar, do you get the whole box for that?

Haha we'll see. The rubbee thing hasn't been given much thought too as I am busy with other things. Still on the radar though.

I drink cheap wines. That's how I can afford to travel and drive BMWs.

Seriously? Add some Everclear or popov to kool-aid or store brand grape juice if you want $2 bottle of wine.

Either that or just buy wine in a box.

Thank goodness.

Although....I have a standby "cheap" wine that I always go for. Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet. In a pinch, it never ceases to please. Still around $25.

A couple for $2.99: http://www.bevmax.com/main.asp?request=SEARCH&

I don't even think you could get that cheap refilling old glass bottles out of boxed wine.

Have you tried Beringer Cab? Few years ago Safeway had 2009 bottles (great year) for $7-8 a bottle plus 10-30% off promo. It's actually pretty good wine for the money. The later years are still good but 2009 was a fantastic year for wines. I have some older ones that I'm aging/saving for really special occasions.

I have a wine fridge stocked with $100+ bottles and outside I have cheaper wines from Bevmo (usually $25-30 a bottle but with $.05 sales it's like $12.50-15 a bottle).

No stores close to me. Could try Food Max. They probably have really, really crappy wines though. If anything I prefer Trader Joe's more.

What's the good word?
Thunderbird!
What's the price?
99 twice.

That was the ad campaign for a ripple wine costing $1.98 a bottle.

You mean their Sonoma County and Carneros stuff? Yeah, it's not bad. But I used to belong to a couple wine clubs and Beringer was one of them. You actually get some great stuff for a reasonable price.

When we were young we bought Wild Irish Rose. Not sure where you can buy it today, but I'm sure you can and it could be under $2.

Wine is for women and homeless anyways so I can see the need to get it cheap.
