Changing rear brake pads

When I took the car to a shop for the front brakes, I remember they applied some a lubricant to the pads and/or other parts of the caliper. What lubricant, if any, should I use for the rear pads and where should I apply it to?

Thanks

I use a silicone paste on the caliper guide pin (3M 08946) and a copper anti-seize (3M 08945) on the pad backs. Both are available on Amazon.
