X1 in my opinion my be one of the best vehicles BMW makes. Perfect size for my wife and I, good room for Lowes's or Home Depot, great gas milage, great handling and I think good looking. I prefer its looks to the X3 which is too big for my needs.
Is this a different 6spd from the one in the e9x series? I've not had a problem out of mine, and I take it to the drag strip fairly often in the summer.

Does anyone have an idea what that copper trim is on the xLine package?! Also, does it come with a second cup holder? I see a silver indent by gear selector on the passenger side. Think you push it and out comes a second cup holder?

I hope they are the white like the X3. It's hard to tell from the photos. They look a little yellow.

The silver tab you see is just a flap that can be pushed open to reveal a gap/hole. My guess is that you will be able to attach/hook another cupholder to this.

It went from just under a 5k diff to now 6150 diff after the X3's engine transplant on the 2013s. I was surprised too after reading bmw officially announced that price was holding at 37995 inc. dest, but bmwusa.com confirmed its up 1400- they did add few things now standard- 18s, power gate... That's right, 39,395 for a bare bones X3 in your choice of black or white- yeah thanks for deleting red from the upcharge free list- bastards. The X1/1 series are the only new BMWs I'd consider buying now. Anything else is well north of 40 that I can still afford- could still pay cash if I wanted to, but that's the thing I don't want to.

Can someone who went to NYIAS tell me if they've got the X1 or the new GLK open to poke around inside? I think I know the answer but I was hopeful...

I went to NYIAS yesterday and unfortunately both X1s were locked tight. I really wanted to be able to get into it and "sit behind myself" as I'm concerned its going to be too small for an adult to sit behind me. I'm about 6' 2" and my previous E90 was just barely big enough for someone to sit behind me (adult knees are pretty much against the front seatback), and it wasn't something I would make anyone do for a long drive.

That's annoying, thanks. From what I know the fore/aft space will be comparable to the E90- same wheelbase I believe...

Sorry but the X1 has verry lack of space inside, not a car for a family with kid's or big guy's...

I think it should be perfect for one kid and vertically challenged parents

Holy resurrected thread, Batman!

Seriously, after seeing the 35 list (Xenons included in base! Yay! ), I may just go for a 35 with Msport, heated seats, and comfort access (if it's available separate).

SIGH... you know how much in canada we paid for the similar package?
I paid 50k(include tax) for an i2.8, with premium, light, nevada, x-line, no navi, no wood, no backseat pocket, no rear center armrest.

But US only pay 45k(Before tax) and you get i3.5, with ultimate package.
WTF BMW Canada rip us off so much! and yet, Canadian dollar is higher than USD!! I want my money back...

I wonder if that has anything to do with different import laws, or maybe just logistics?
