Not with the cup holder installed. Gets kinda narrow.
Haha, fair point. That thing is such a stupid design.

It's only present in fatland models, as far as I know. And it's removable.

What is a more stupid design is that the sliding center console / arm rest can't be locked in place. It can slide forward, decapitating any drink (or cell phone) placed in the cup holder, especially if a passenger who doesn't know any better uses the center console for leverage to get in or out of the car.

Because of this, I keep it forward at all times, and never use that cup holder for anything. If I drive long enough distances that I need to drink, I use a water bottle with a spout, placed in the door bottle holder.

Ha!!! Ever been in the last of the 9-3's?? Same issue but way, way, way worse. Every passenger WITHOUT FAIL gets freaked out because it cannot be locked and it slides on them. Horrible design, just awful.

I bought the smallest infant car I could find (Cybex Aton 2) and put it behind the passenger seat. I cannot fit in the passenger seat at all. My head hits the roof and my knees hit the dash. The X1 is tiny.

Yup, hold my Samsung to view Waze or MapQuest and occasionally a water bottle.

I use it all the time for iphone or a dunkin donuts coffee. Other one way too close and you lose arm rest.
