Drove my X1 400 miles through snow-meggedon in northern Arizona

With my new Michelin pilot sport As 3+ all season tires . It seems like this car is in- stoppable in snow with 7 inch ground clearance I easily drove through 12 inches of un-plowed snow on flat ground. Tomorrow I will drive some 12% slopes

I drove mine a couple of weeks ago on I-80 in one of the snowstorms wither crappy run flat tires and I was amazed at how well it did. I imagine with the Pilot Sports it will do much better next year.

I think he means with Pilot sport AS 3+.

Too many close sounding tire names.

I never drive in winter, so I have PSS on RX8 and PS4S on X1.

These are best sticky tires I've ever owned, and just now quit track days. I'll get to compare both at once.

Of course different cars, but both with stiff suspensions, and they each feel good and have similar traction. I need some road trips in rain to find out which is better.

I think you gotta have big cajones and a small brain to drive an rx8 with PSS on snowy streets. X1 with winter tires are great. Stable and solid throughout. It's nimbleness add some fun hooniganism.

Well I doubt he gets much snow in West Texas

But I completely agree, the X1 on winter tires is fantastic.

I haven't had the opportunity to drive the X1 in the snow with my AS3+ yet. I did however drive the 335i in the snow (Not intentionally) on PSS for about 16 miles. It was the most terrifying driving experience I have had at this point. I had to shovel the street and driveway just to get it into the garage. Car sounded great when I was spinning out trying to get it in though.
