2015 X1 Sport Line wind noise from door seals.

Hey there,

Looking to pick up this really good deal on a 2015 X1. We asked to keep it for a couple days to live with it and see if this is the car for us.

I've discovered a wind noise coming from both front door seams. It begins at about 40mph.

Is there an adjustment to the door hinges which could potentially eliminate the wind sound from creeping through?

I'd definitely check with the dealer as that is not normal. Our X1 has no noticeable wind noise at any speed. Perhaps the rubber seals are defective or installed improperly? Or the door might have some adjustment like you mentioned. Good luck!! You won't be disappointed by the X1 IMHO!

Garage List
Everybody I've ever talked to with an X1 has wind noise coming from the upper front corner of the doors. Seems like it's from the mirrors. I have it too and find it rather annoying. I've talked to my dealer and they said there's nothing they can do to fix it. All the seals were fine and gaps were correct.

I have it. Noticed it when I test drove a 13 when they hit the states. It turned me off to the car. But I ended up with one becuse I'm cheap and didn't want anything else in that price range.

The BSW stage one upgrade with a JL sub seems to do a decent job hiding it.

Odd! 13k miles on our X1...and we always remark at how quiet it is at speed on the freeway. Only noticeable noise for us is the tires on rough pavement.

I have a bit at highway speeds too. Nothing excessive. But it gets pretty annoying if I let myself think about it too much.
