Leaking hoses

My 2013 X1 has 56k miles on it and has developed a leak in the vent hose and intercooler hose. I have an appointment tomorrow to take it to the shop to have them look at it. I am hoping for a courtesy on the warranty since it is not that far over and I should not have this type of failure this soon. Has anyone else experienced this?

It is interesting that no one else on here has experienced this. I took it to the shop yesterday and initially they said it would not be covered. They called me in the afternoon to tell me they had to order the parts and it would be covered under the warranty. The estimate to repair was around $1,200.

Could be because you have a lot of miles at 56K and our 2013 X1 only has 20K. There probably aren't a lot of X1's in the U.S. with that high of mileage.

Good point Lucky.

Are you enjoying the heat in Columbia? I may have to go to Sumter this weekend for Father's Day. I am not looking forward to it.

Garage List
The intercooler charge pipe is a common failure point. I'm not sure what you're talking about by vent hose.

Columbia is as hot as your intercooler charge pipe whatever that is. 4 days straight over 100 with the next 10 expected to be around 100. I don't know much about engines but I don't know how that's a common failure point when I read these threads every day for the X1 and my M235 and owned a 2007 335 and have never heard of the problem. Must be common somewhere else other than the U.S.
