Enjoyed the X1
As the title says I enjoyed the X1 for the roughly three years I drove it as my daily. It was relatively trouble free, only issue happened a couple of months back. Split charge pipe after 2.5 years of running the Dinan tune on it. I consider that more than fair and if I had kept it I would have purchased an aftermarket pipe for it. But instead I'm moving to a 335i Msport. Drove it home this evening and said farewell to the X1. No complaints here it was a fine car. Too bad a 2016+ is built on a mini.

And the very same day...after 6.5 years of very happy ownership I said goodbye to my '09 e82 and hello to my '15 e84 valencia msport sdrive. Two biggest surprises so far...ride is pretty good despite 19" pzeros, and lack of rear leg room became apparent after installing my son's forward facing car seat in fact shockingly similar to my 1er...oops ZF8 is great but to me the NA6 with the stick will always be the sweetest- wish x1 offered it. But car is great very rare build in these parts and as outlined in my "how could I not" thread the deal I got made the separation much easier than I thought..First ever lease and residual is insane so hopefully I don't grow too attached to this 1.

How do you tell if there is a leak in the charge pipe. I also have the Dinan tune and an AFE intake. Sometimes when stepping on the gas, I hear something that sounds like leaking air as the RPMs build up.
Congrats on the 335! |

I've already ordered the ER charge pipe for the 335i and will change this part right off the bat once it's broken in as I will be adding the MPPK to the car and potentially more which will be giving it more than the stock boost.

Soooo any of you current 35i owners who like the power of the N55, but would also like the mileage of the N20, here's what the 335i is doing on the hwy.
32mpg with a speed average of just over 70mph Yes, I like that. Also I have to admit I've missed having something other than the stock exhaust. Wish someone would have made them for the X1. In this case I went with one from Borla (cat-back), liked the sound and the price was right.
