NEW CPO 2014 X1. Tell me the options it has.

New jong to the forum. Been lurking while looking for an 335 actually. Then the dealer had me test drive this 35i in the wet and I was hooked. The Red Coral sealed the deal. Last BMW I owned was a 72 Bavaria in the 90's..Loved that car. I'm now falling in love all over again. Anyhow, I think my new X1 has the following options. MSport, Tech, and luxury packages and xline. The only thing I think it doesn't have is the back up camera, and the M badges on the wheels and steering wheel. So what is it missing? It listed for 46K new.. I scored it for less than half of that. Looking forward to using all the members knowledge here to gain about 30HP and improve the handing for track days.. The lift threads are interesting, but I'm also jeep guy, and own 2 of them so I'm more interested performance upgrades. Looking forward to personalizing this little pocket rocket. Thanks...

Nice color combo. I, too bought a CPO '13 35i, but it's pretty plain jane. Would you trade for some nut-sack tan seats?

Doesn't have the MSport. That would include the MSport front bumper, the wheel, door sill trim, wheels, etc.

Only looking to add 30 bhp? A tune alone will get you 60+! Get your self a JB4 and have a blast. It's a little rocket.

You can use the last 7 of the VIN to get all the details on the car (options, etc.) using this VIN decoder.

http://bimmer.work/

For tightened up handling, Bilstein B6s and H&Rs...perhaps an M3 rear swaybar. For more performance/drop, you could go full coilovers.

Thanks Apex.. Looking forward to it.. Hard not to beat a dead horse with questions on the normal upgrades so I'll use the search functions or ask if stumped. Door sill says BMW Sport, I guess I was confused over that..

That's a Sportline. It includes the awesome sport seats, awesome wheels and no silver or chrome accents. I love this option! I've owned mine for 3 1/2 years and I love it every day!

It seems that you are missing the Harman Kardon sound system.

I think you have the Sport Line and not the M Sport. M Sport will have the ///M badge on steering wheel, wheels, and door sills. M Sport will also have anthracite headliner, M Sport front/rear bumpers. Not sure on the suspension though if its the same. I heard there is a Sport and M Sport suspension. Not sure what the difference are.

Congrats by the way. x35i is a beast. Love the sound of the exhaust too even with stock. I just got it 2 months ago. Had it wrapped to pearl red

How many mileage do you have when you got it?

The best part of this car is you don't see very many of them around.. Huge plus and big reason I decided on the 35i X1 vs 335i

Big pluses: you car has the blacked out kidney grills and mud guards. Couple of worthwhile mods you don't need to do, thanks to the previous owner.

I've read that the MSport has a stiffer (but not lower) suspension than stock, but I have not heard about any other variants.

The VIN decoder is handy.

I just found this online and I thought I read this somewhere in different forums too.

M Sport cars tend to sit a little lower than their lesser siblings too, thanks to the sports suspension that drops the car between 10-20mm. These modifications help M Sport models corner better thanks to the reduced body roll and increased tyre grip.

yes, it is quite a big difference.

Speakers for the BMW X1

11 high-performance loudspeakers with optimum position in the car.

4 x 26 mm metal-matrix dome tweeters, front & rear

2 x 217 mm woofers (central bass), below front seats

4 x 100 mm metal-matrix midrange speakers, front & rear

1 x 80 mm x 200 mm EDPL midrange tweeter, dashboard

Amplifier
Harman Kardon® DSP amplifier with 340-watt total output

Harman Kardon Premium Sound System in the BMW X1

“Good vibrations” both on and off the road

The new Harman Kardon® sound system in the BMW X1 will enthrall listeners with powerful bass sounds, natural midrange tones and crystal-clear treble, while also offering improved efficiency, more dynamism and more power. The system, tailor-made exactly to the special inner dimensions of the X1, permits a unique sound experience that meets the highest standards, even when driving off-road. The basis for this are the high-quality individual components that have been designed right from the development stage for extreme loads
far exceeding those to be expected during normal usage.

Unique surround sound thanks to innovative technology
The Harman Kardon audio system in the BMW X1 offers a superior volume level and a sound that is subtly differentiated and rich in detail with its 340-watt total power output through the DSP amplifier. Low bass tones are passed on to the loudspeakers, and
every instrument can make its presence felt on the virtual concert platform.

The X1 has eleven high-end sound transducers that have been optimally integrated in the vehicle interior. The special metal-matrix diaphragms of the four 26 mm tweeters and the four 100 mm midrange speakers have a sandwich structure made from an aluminum core with a ceramic surface and thus offer a top-class, high-fidelity musical experience. For the first time in a BMW X1, a center loudspeaker was installed. An outstanding feature of this EDPL, in addition to its extremely flat construction, is its good dynamic range (in addition: no distortion factor, easily adjustable speaker direction, lightweight). The central bass function is carried out by two 217 mm subwoofers that are located on the right and left sides under the driver’s and passenger’s seats and pass their “good vibrations” directly to the listener.
The faithful surround sound in the compact SUV is based on the pioneering surround technology by Harman Kardon, that permits faithful, expansive sound reproduction from stereo recordings in every seat. The surround information is optimally distributed via the BMW X1's speakers, producing a sound that remains faithful to the original. This gives passengers the impression of being in a much bigger space with a broad sound platform regardless of where they are seated.

I wish it were lower, but it looks like about 2 3/4 inches or more of wheel gap. It's definitely stiff though! Normally I like the handling, but sometimes regret the bumpiness; thinking maybe non-RFT tires will help.

I measured from fender-to-ground, as suggested in this thread:
http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=750138
Mine works out to be around 28 1/4 inches. I think differences could come down to tire wear?
