BMW PPK Flash - xDrive35i's
Has anyone successfully flashed the bmw PPK Flash to their x35i X1??
I saw over on n54tech that burnout8488 and paradoxical3 had tried with some technical issues but wasnt sure if it was ever figured out The 2012+ N55's do not always require the FSC code (I've flashed MY 2013 cars with PPK without it) Only thing is I dont know what the new zsub should be. Nor do i know which sp daten files to look for it in. Any suggestions? 2015 X1 xDrive35i, build date March/2015 with stock zsub of 8638816 Any help appreciated

I'd like to know this too, I haven't found definitive info. If you get it working I'm doing it to mine too :-D

I'd just stick with a jb4, it will handle all of the boost control and accomplish much more than ppk flash. Terry at Burger has talked about about it several times over on n54tech forums, no point in ppk at all... it just dumps extra fuel for burbles...
Hopefully e series n55 flash will be here soon |

adding ppk and having jb4 doesn't add power on power. the jb4 cancels the ppk out. the only thing ppk is good for when stacked, is for the burbles and pops.
which in all honesty, is why I want it. I loved it on my 335. |

I'm with neverdone, I have mhd flasher on my 2 n54 powered cars with the exhaust burble feature and love it. Am I correct in understanding that wantm135i got the flash to work and said it didn't stack well with jb? Im content with performing this and just waiting for an MHD tune later in the year when it becomes available if so

Yup, I had a bad time trying to get it working. Felt totally stock even after I had it flashed, and the car threw plenty of errors. No pops or burbles ever for me.

The PPK *should* raise the top speed on (factory) non-M sport models to 155 mph. Aside from that, its the burples.
Seen mixed things about how the Jb4 runs in tandem with the PPK so it might not even be worth pursuing Going to talk to some friends at Eurocharged to possibly do a back end flash for me (and change VMAX). I'll post the results if I can make it happen. Jerry recommends custom dyno tuning if running BEF with the JB4. |

So yes, if you've got a JB4, there is no reason to get a PPK. Now as for the burbles... that's the main reason to want it on an X1. |
