Boot liners
Anyone got one? Genuine BM ones or after market? Been looking at this:
Its a genuine BMW one at £46. Want something to put in the boot as to be honest, everything just rolls all over the place (and I'm annoyed I didn't get the extended storage). So its more for stopping things moving as opposed to protection. |

I got one similar, if not the same, but as a result lost access to the 2 rubber straps which I find very useful for holding stuff down, and it was harder to accesss the storage compartments under the floor, so I only use the liner when i want to carry something which might soil the floor.
Aussie X1's come standard with extended storage. |

Yeah. I got that one. We put the dog in the rear so it's handy to collect any dirt. Frankly, it's just extra insurance, you don't have to worry about wetthings or spills and very easy to take out and empty.
Canada doesn't get the extended storage. #cheapBMWCanada

Thanks - can I just ask - does it restrict access to the side compartments or can you still get to these OK? |

Yes, you can still get into the side bins. The liner is pretty much rectangular.

I have the genuine boot liner as pictured in the original post. The prices for the bootliners were simply outrageous so I just got the cheapest one available as I carry my dog and the liner was an absolute necessity. Doesn't impact any functionality of the boot.

Agree, a black tarpaulin would do the same job.

Mario - does the folded liner stop things moving about? With it being carpet, I'm presuming its just the same as the normal boot floor? I see you have extended storage too.
To be honest, although I didn't initially want the fold out one, that one of yours would actually be better as I often put my mountain bike in the boot |

Flexible load space protector
I use a flexible load space protector.
It is a Landrover accessory. I find it very useful as it works for the boot only as well as when the rear seats are down. It can be used to keep mud and water off the seats and carpet when my mtb is in the back and it is large enough to cover the bike and any other gear I have in the back of the car. This cover and the window blinds keeps the stuff in the back of my car very private. It also has a fold out flap to protect the lip of the rear door, etc. It is pretty much like a large tarp that can be folded any way you choose. |

The hooks are still there on each side. I bought two bungee cords and just leave them connected and lying on top of the liner in case we need to hold something stable.

I can't find the bill, but it was around $80.
