I like the Nav, the graphics are very nice and it definitely does not look dated. Occasionally it sends you a longer way, but it always gets you where you want to go. Once you learn your way around the iDrive system, it's very easy to use.

So whats the difference between the f-series vs. the e-series (current x1) navigation?

To answer without any technical info I guess it's better in every way - looks, spec & functionality wise You can get the clue from the name itself, they call it NBT (Next Big Thing) or CIC-HIGH while the iDrive system in X1 is CIC (Car Information Computer) f-series have the updated one to what we (X1) have and it's not just firmware update

LOL thanks for the explanation, but it sounds even more confusion to me.

Let me rephrase the question.

1. Does the F-series nav LOOK (visually) a lot different than the one on E-Series?

2. Does the F-series nav have a lot more features that the e-series ones dont carry?
