What accessories for X1 sDrive18i?
I just purchased a demo alpine white 2010 X1 sDrive18i. With a limited budget, I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good accessories to go with the car? I'm picking it up this week; it has leather seats and panoramic sunroof but not much else (yes, very basic, I know).

Unfortunately some accessories cannot be done aftermarket e.g. USB connection or Cruise Control obviously.
However I have ordered some black rubber and carpet mat sets (I have beige upholstery where everything is beige) - the rubber one would be essential e.g. for a dirty afternoon out cycling. Mudflaps look good as well. BMW also offer an aftermarket Satnav solution (wires hidden so looks nice). It would still be much more expensive than buying your own portable, but much cheaper than the factory built option. I will order this next bonus time. You can download a new 2010 X1 accessories brochure as well from BMW website - or I can email it to you, just give me the word. |

Hi manicm, I'll like to find out more about the Satnav solution that you've mentioned. Wonder if I might be able to get this in Singapore. Thank you.

I have a few accessories mentioned which I ordered with the car or bought afterwards.
1. Mud flaps, essential here in my opinion to protect the paint job from the grit they throw on the roads. Also keeps the rear window cleaner. 2. A reversible floor mat in the boot that folds back to cover the whole boot area when the seats are folded flat. 3. Winter tyres, if you can call them accessories. 4. Snow chains 5. OEM rubber mats 6. Snap in adapter for my phone But that's pretty much all that took my fancy. Happy to answer any questions on these. Manicm is correct in saying that they are all on the BMW site anyway.

I don't see why not. Get hold of the brochure and then ask your dealer - that way they can't thumbsuck!

Hi guys, ok, tried uploading it for everyone but was taking too long. It's about 14MB, PDF. Here's the link, find the X1 one below, right-click and Save as.

Do you know if this portable sat nav do the same thing as Idrive?
And by that i mean do you see the notes of the radio in that screen? Do you see the lines in the wall when you park your car if you have sensors? O Or only you have GPS? |

constantinos - no it does not have idrive, it's just GPS, but removable/portable. It might have Bluetooth though, not sure. It's actually a Garmin if I'm correct.
