Good news! The new modified hood insulation just arrived. With modified size and thicker insulation now it looks and fits perfectly. I will post it after pictures are taken.

I bought 1 from Bimmer Fox. All worked smoothly and quick delivery. The pad fits well. It looks good too. Thick stuff where it needs to be. The rivets are included and pop in with your thumb. Really knocked the sound down. I added a Dynamat type tape with foil I found at Home depot. $18 for 6" x 25'. Roofing dept. Instant waterproof tape. 1/2 hour project max. Bimmer Fox creates an ingenious box to ship this large and rather fragile pad to you. My UPS driver loved it Thanks Bill.

No, because of the duty fee & shipping cost, US only for now. Sorry. But I deliver and sold a few pieces last month when I travelled to Toronto Canada.

Sorry about the pics, seems the sun was directly in front of my camera shots and washed some detail out. This is the finished product of the bimmerfox underhood insulation. I placed it with the indententions to the beam sides under the hood. Looks great and I hope it cuts down on the noisy chatter when the engine is cold. Thank you guys, it's a great mod for not alot of money!

Why are there big creases down the middle of your liner?

We did not ship it to you as per your request. Was it like this when you pick it up in person? Did you complain to Kin? It appear there is no crease in the middle on your first picture. Btw, it should not have any ill effect for the sound and heat. We got our shipment in a big box from oversea. All the insulation are protected, straight and never folded. When we get an order, we shipped them out in a big box too. Just let you know, we never have a single complain before.

I wasn't complaining about the fold marks and honestly when I picked it up from Kin, it was night and I never noticed. Normally I would have said something but it wasn't until one of the posters mentioned it was when I really noticed it. It's all good though.

Hi bimmerfox, it was me that was "complaining" about the crease. I have been interested in purchasing one of these, and then I saw the picture. My OCD would have kept me up at night knowing my hood liner was wrinkled.

But, since you say you ship them unfolded, I will go ahead with my order.

Ordered and installed. The liner arrived quickly and in perfect condition, not folded.

When I got my 135i, I ordered the OEM liner for it. This X1 liner from Bimmerfox is more like the older style liners - that is, a thicker, cloth covered liner, compared to the 135i OEM liner which seems to be black painted rigid foam.

I was a little concerned about the fasteners accompanying this liner, they seemed a little less substantial than the OEM fasteners on the 135i. However, a quick test using a trim pry tool showed that these fasteners aren't going anywhere once installed.

All-in-all, I would certainly recommend this liner for the X1.
