Are Chargepipes the Same between X135i and 335i?

Looking around, sellers on ebay
(VSRF) Lists their charge pipe compatiable with the following:
2012-2015 E84 BMW X1 35i
20011-2012 E82/E88 BMW 135i N54 & N55 including 1M
2011-2013 E90/E91/E92/E93 BMW 335i / 335xi including 335is
2011-2012 E60 535i / 535xi (OEM Twin DV option does not fit E60 models)

But other sellers don't list the x1:
2011-12 BMW 135i DCT/MT
2013 BMW 135is DCT/MT
2011 BMW 335i AT/MT
2011 BMW 335i xDrive AT/MT
2012 BMW 335i Convertible AT/MT
2012 BMW 335i Coupe AT/MT
2012 BMW 335i xDrive Convertible AT/MT
2012 BMW 335i xDrive Coupe AT/MT

If it fits the 335 and the 135, it should fit the x1, right? If not, whats so different about the VSRF that makes it more adaptable?

Garage List
They should be the same, the X1 35i isn't exactly the most popular/widespread car for modding so it is overlooked.

Correct. I have this VRSF chargepipe on my x1 and can recommend it.

I was going to order the cheap Phoenix brand chargepipe through BMS. But fitment for the x1 wasn't specified so I reached out to them and they said that it would not fir the x1. I thought they were the same as well, but according to BMS the cheap Phoenix one doesn't fit. I went with VRSF.

It does fit, they are mistaken. Their pipe is pretty bad though so be glad you went with VRSF.

Lets not forget, that there was a time frame where the VRSF pipes were really bad too!

Well, the cheap VRSF pipe that I bought wasn't very high quality either from the look of it. But it will work just fine I'm sure.

Good to know they are mistaken. From my research they were the same and their rep insisted it wouldn't fit the X1

Thank You! VRSF had a lot of quality issues....in the beginning. I might try an off brand company, because I'm not willing to spend more for the same questionably quality. And a perfect looking blend on the inside isn't worth an additional $250 to me. Hell, for $5 I can hand blend it a little more if I'm that bothered by it.

Ya I just bought the chargepipe and FMIC from them. The FMIC seemed high quality, but one of the mounting tabs was bent on it. The shop was able to bend it back. NBD.

The chargepipe I have no concern about. Anything is better than the existing plastic, and I think it was only $160 on sale. For that price... no complaints!!

I will elaborate a little more on the Phoenix racing chargepips. It comes with two methanol bungs which the plugs were super loose on. I went to install a methanol injector and the threads were in such bad shape it started to cross thread. Terry's response was that you should always use a thread chaser before installing methanol injectors in any chargepipe. I have a ER pipe on my 335i and a VRSF one sitting in a box for my X1. The ER pipe didn't need any modification before installation.

VRSF usually produces low quality products but that is reflected in the price. Their chargepipes are currently better than the Phoenix racing ones.
