Thanks for the video - at the end, it says it will be released at the beginning of 2011, which means our cars should have it (since, as Canadians, we only started getting X1s in the May/June '11 time frame). I can only think they are referring to BMW Apps. Maybe Duh Car can comment as he has already purchased the appropriate Media Adapter that the iPhone snaps into, to allow this sort of seamless integration that the video talks about, and that BMW Apps promises. I have not purchased the Adapter yet (but plan to), so I can't comment on its usefulness, but Duh Car notes that it works great. If you think this is something different than BMW Apps, perhaps others could respond with their thoughts. Thanks for posting the YouTube link!

Yeah, it works. But the functionality is pretty limited. I bought in more for the future potential and to uphold by reputation as an early adopter.

Can anybody else chime in and give us potential buyer some idea how much you can get off?

Many thanks.

I picked up my X1 28i in Calgary(Calgary BMW) last week with the following features :

1.2012 BMW X1 xDrive 28i , Sapphire Black ( +$750) ,beige interior, options :
- Premium Package
- PDC
- Comfort Access
- Electrical seats with memory

I was able to negotiate a $2660 discount from MSRP . Total price ,including
GST and all applicable taxes $45,500

Keep in mind only GST (5%) is being applied in Alberta

They don't sell as fast as the X3. I've been checking inventory levels as of late and I saw X3s in single digits, while X1s mid 20s to high 30s depending on the city.

So are you saying the dealer should be more than willing to drop their prices?

I guess X1 is not as popular as I thought in Canada. Should be good news for potential buyers.

I was talking to the sales guy @ Calgary BMW yesterday( I bought my X1 from him) and he told me that 2011 X3s inventory are sold out and 2012s are not arrived yet.
The dealership has sold seven 2012 X1s this week but on other hand they've expected better sales levels for X1s.

The most sold X1s are in Vancouver ,chinese community strikes again
