Winter tyres Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7

Im looking into putting this type of tyre on my X1 and studded. I have 225/45/18 in front and 255/40/18 in back. Has anybody got them? Do i have to put the same size for front and back? Would love to here your comments and where can i get them the cheapest?

I think you'll find the front rims are 8J width, rears 9J, so different size tyres needed, or buy new cheap rims to put your winter set on.

Yes, it is better to go down to 17 inchers for winter -- smaller width = less like skis.

Im in Quebec city, and i was thinking for the moment just changing around the tyres because i want to upgrade the summer tyres in around 3 years or when my summer set will be due for a change. possibly up to 20 inches. And when i do that well i will already have the rims for winter. And im goind with studed tyres so i dont think they will be like skis!!!

Sounds like a plan!
