In 2001 I had a citroen C5 that already had this tech. It would automatically lower itself 15mm I think when going high way speeds. Not bad for a 16 year old passenger estate car to be just as high tech as the latest supercar

It would also raise itself when driving on a bumpy road. When you came to a standstill (say for a traffic light) you could feel it adjusting again to normal ride heigt. Maybe the next ford gt generation can do that too

I could be wrong about this, but a friend of mine had a Citroen in the early seventies that was about 10 years old at the time, and I remember him displaying this feature. It might have been manual but it increased the ground clearance a lot.

Yes, citroens have been doing this trick since the late '50's (citroen DS was the first one with hydroactive suspension), but as of 2001 (citroen hydroactive 3 system, first launched on the c5) they do it automatically, so reading the road and adjusting ride height accordingly to drive conditions. Pretty impressive as it took mercedes 12 years to catch up to this feature in their S class cars (which cost 4 times as much...)

But currently citroen has dropped this system all togheter I believe. Too expensive.
People prefer ipod integration and a car that can twitter/facebook over a superior ride quality
And citroen is not in the business of making extremely expensive cars like mercedes is.

A V6 that will run mid 10s at what I'll guesstimate to be around 135-140 and without a secondary electric motor like other hypercars. Yes, C&D classifies the GT as a hypercar, probably because of the 216 top speed.

it's a beautiful car but it has less horsepower than a Corvette and there is no manual transmission.
