No heated mirrors?

This is my third BMW and I didn't realize that the X1 didn't have heated outside mirrors. The Z4 and 135i both did have heated mirrors. I have all of the packages with the exception of the cold weather package. I can only assume that the cold weather package has heated outside mirrors.

I just looked at my 2013 x1 brochure and it does not list heated side mirrors as a feature or available option - even with the cold weather package.

rps: according to your location, you live in FL. How often could you need heated mirrors.

If you park outside, to burn off the dew?

With the high humidity on the Gulf Coast, they are needed quite often if the car is parked outside over night.

According to my owners manual (2013 model, page 49), the heating is automatic depending on outside temperature. Unfortunately the automatic feature doesn't seem to do much in the early morning when it's warm and humid.

As the op stated, it does get quite humid down here and with the high dew points, foggy also.

They are heated, except they are automatic, you don't have a button.
2012 X1 in here and in manual is mentioned that they are automatic. Truth is, mirrors are always clean never had a problem, including -45 degrees.
Now, I don't know if the US model is different. What does the manual say?

Look here at page 49

A quick glance at the parts diagrams show all the US models do indeed have heated mirrors. CW package not necessary.
