Cleaning Exhaust Pipes
I've tried Nevr Dull, Chrome Cleaner and steel wool with soap and still cannot get all the carbon off the tips. Anybody used anything else to get the tips free of carbon build up?

I've cleaned my exhaust tips (Z4, 128i, X1) with steel wool for the past 12 years and they always come out like new. You may need to go a grade or 2 coarser than what you are currently using (i.e use #00 fine or #0 medium-fine). BTW, I always use my steel wool dry. Another BTW, don't let the grunge build up. Clean the tips when you wash the car.

I actually used 0000 which is very fine so obviously I need to use a little more coarse. I tried dry but other threads said use soapy water but either way it wouldn't get it all off with 0000.
