We're a bit limited for choice here in Tassie, vortex diesel is about the only premium diesel available, but I haven't seen it where I live ... I've filled up 3 times so far and used standard Caltex diesel each time.
Averaged just under 8l/100km so far and the engine feels smooth. |

Hey guys,
I only use the recommended quality of non premium fuel for my cars. I prefer unbranded/no-name fuel for econmic reasons. The premium Diesel brands offered by some gas stations never justify the higher price! Bio-Diesel is not allowed in your X1 (and all other stock BMWs AFAIK). For standard petrol engines I tend to use ROZ 95. For "better" petrol engines (where recommended) I use ROZ 98. I never use V-Power or Ultimate. You might use this if your drive an M3/5 for any other car it's wasted money IMO. bye Darky |

You know, I have never seen any of the premium diesel fuels here in Scotland. Anyone in my corner of the world seen them?

Total has come up with an "Exellium" supposedly more fuel-efficient, clean Diesel. Frankly, the difference must be very subtle coz I never noticed... I went back to 'regular' diesel, mostly Total as its the widest-spread brand in France and my company gives us Total fuel cards (duh!)
