Cruise Control

Hi

Just started using the cruise control and finding it really useful, esp. when I need to avoid speed traps. And it's so easy to use as well, glad I ordered the package which included it.

Anybody else use it?

I use it all the time ... the + & - 10km increments are really useful, and it's the first car I've had which actually displays the set speed (on the LED display as well as the outside of the speedo) and which uses the brakes to maintain the set speed.

Australia is plagued with speed cameras, so sticking to the speed limit is critical if you want to keep your license!

I have it on mine as well and have used it on occasions. It works well but tends to make me a bit lazy on the open road.

I want it to make me lazy, cos to be very honest Mario, I've come to accept the 4-cyl petrol engine makes my X1 a cruiser and not a bruiser! (I can elaborate further on this but I won't embarass my car)! The cc is especially useful up moderate inclines on the highway - so my leg and brain can both relax knowing the car itself will maintain speed.

Cannot remember Manicm, is yours an auto? I think that the cc is particularly well suited to a auto shifter.

We don't get the petrols here so cannot comment on their performance but I am quite happy with the 2.0d. Have you tried one of the diesels yet?

Hi Mario, yes mine's an auto. With the traffic disaster we had yesterday I am so glad I chose it.
