Squeaking noise from accelerator pedal

I'm getting this annoying squeaking noise from my x1's accelerator pedal while using it. So, you can imagine how annoying it is as that's the most used thing I took to BMW service they oiled it, told me that there was nothing wrong and also told me that it was my foot rubbing with the rubber pedal that could be the reason as well which was a complete BS so didn't even bother listening to it. But since it was gone for that period I was happy but then later, same day, it's back. Now I'm scared if it's there to stay. So, has anyone experienced this and was (un)able to get rid of it? Thanks.

The same thing has started on my x1, about a month back. I haven't been past the dealership yet, but will do in coming days. I'll post what they say

I too went past the dealer and had a mechanic look at it. He said he had seen this condition once before. They said they were going to get a new accelerator assembly and replace it as opening the unit was tricky in getting all the parts back in properly.

I'll see what happens when they ask me to bring the X1 for repair and post details.

Interesting.. well I don't know what exactly the mechanic here did but the service person did say that the mechanics took the unit out and lubricated what ever they could and so far it hasn't come back. Will mention about this if it comes back.

I look at the receipt as it will tell you everything that was performed on the car in fairly good detail

I find an incongruence between ordering a new part and lubricating the old part.

Got the car back from the dealer on Friday and they decided to first lubricate the part before replacing it. So far so good, accelerator pedal is quiet as a church mouse, let's see if this is a lasting resolution to the problem.

Same here, it hasn't came back yet after the lubrication. Been over a week now I guess..
