Brake Light Pulser

Has anyone installed a BLP (brake light pulser) on their 3rd brake light and would share their experience?

For example, how to remove the hardware to access the wires and which wires to cut

Good question...

I have done the 'Pulser" in all my bimmers...now I look the third light and I'm not sure how to remove it, also I don't know what the OBC will do after wiring the controller in the brake system.

Euro spec cars have BFD2 (brake force display) which has additional blinking stop lights under hard deceleration and ABS activated. US spec cars have BFD1 which has fog lights illuminated (not blinking) under heavy deceleration (ABS doesn't need to be activated). These are coding options and can be altered.

I've seen other X BMWs on various forums talk about it, but no one has posted or mentioned how they accessed it..I really don't believe it will throw any codes as I haven't heard anyone mention this as a problem

These are values from an e90 so If I had to take a guess it may look a little different but values should look like this. I don't have a cable or software right now but I should be working again soon and have access. If this is right or wrong I will followup and post it.

I did it on mine but never tested it. I didn't put all lights blinking though, just the fog lights. I'm afraid people behind me wouldn't understand the message if all tail lights start blinking. Also to me the third brake light blinking looks tacky (scion, nissan... type)
