X1 accessories?

Hi,

I've ordered X1 without the roof chrome holders and I was having lots of doubts about that decision. Hence I was trying to find a site where I could get those ordered. Does anybody know of a good X1 site that has such equipment?

Is installing new roof rails a problem?

The car was delayed for 1 more month. Hence October now, so plenty of time to think about it...

Thank you,

[EDIT] I just found this picture: http://images.sytner.co.uk/w3images/...ew_image_1.jpg It's black and doesn't have ANY roof holders/rails. So I don't get it. Did they just removed them or what? Those black standard roof rails are a bit ugly looking IMO.

[EDIT] This one too:
No roof rails at all. How do they do that!

Black roof rail is also an extra just like the chrome one.

That's good news because it looks much better without any rails then with black ones. Maybe even chrome. But just personal preference.

Thanks,

Black roof rails aren't actually an extra from the catalog that I'm seeing. It can be either with one or the other. Not without it.

So in any case, it can be safely removed?

Black or chrome roof rails are an option on the X1 SDrive. Brushed chrome roof rails are standard on the XDrive. According to my local dealer its factory fit only.

Thule make a roof rack that fits on a X1 without roof rails if this helps.

Boot Liner

And also the boot liner. Works well. It folds into the car with the seats dropped and also has a sill protector.

That is the situation in Turkey, and similarly if you look at the bmw.de configurator you can see that it is an optional extra. BMW distributor of Croatia must have added the rails to standard package. For example we get rain/light sensors, lighting package/velour mats etc. for free. As far as I know rails can be removed but you might need to buy additional parts.

Nope actually that is not the case. I've got in touch with my dealer today and they said that the car wont have either black or chrome roof rails. That's good news for me.

@mario486: I think you went a bit off topic but nm. Those extras look cool. I got sDrive so really got no need for mudflaps That is, I'll have it hopefully within next 2 months... Delay starts in 10 days, and it was already pushed back a month after that. It'll never pass...

Thanks!

Nope, not off topic. The title of the thread is X1 Accessories, don't think there is another one and rather than start a new thread I decided to use this one. Did not mean to hijack it though, sorry.

In any case I'm glad I've seen it. How about some pictures from a bit further away so we can see the whole car? Can't get enough of pics...
