Just ordered X1, did you buy leather treatment and paint protector?

Hi,

just ordered a space grey X1 xDrive28i with red-brown leather, and i was wondering if you guys had taken the leather treatment and the paint protector that the dealer sells.

Just to know if it's worth it or not..

p.s.: i ordered it in Euro delivery, so i'm pretty excited about this!!

Hi Lib,

My Space Grey 20D XDrive should be delivered on 12 Jan. I have not been offered Leather Treatment by the dealer but there are so many products on the market you could DIY far cheeper, I wont bother on mine. I have taken the Seal & Protect package which is costed at 500 ÚK pounds, but only as the dealer offered it as a free-Be. I have a mate that does car detailing who reckons he can do a better job cheeper. So in short I would not spend my money on either.
I am thinking of the 3M Venter sheild (Car Bra) as a few people on here have said its good value and protects from stone chips etc.

Good luck with the new ride and post the Pics when you get it.
