Windows only work when ignition is OFF

Hi All,

My front driver & passenger windows will only work (go up and down) when the car is on, but the ignition is OFF.
I tried a window reset thing I found online, but it wasn't specifically for my model/year, but it doesn't seem to have worked, in fact, it made an error come-up on the dash with a window and exclamation mark.

When the ignition is OFF, the windows work PERFECTLY.

When the ignition is on/running, pressing the window up/down makes a noise inside the door - sounds like a motor struggling to work.

If there is a RTFM solution, I can do that...haha.

Anyone know if I need a regulator or a motor?
It's happening on both the Driver side AND Passenger side.

If anyone else has this issue, it was caused by the car going into limp mode. When in limp mode, the computer shuts off power to any unnecessary accessories. Full shut off of the car is needed to clear the issue.
