Garage List
I've heard dealers are less inclined to offer discounts on custom ordered X1's. Is this true? Or were you able to negotiate discounted prices before ordering?

My dealer gave me a no-haggle price over invoice off the lot or ordered. This may change now that they are ordering 2014s and have 2013s on the lot.

2014 Order

I ordered X1 M Sport about a week back. Pricing was excellent. Local dealer very helpful and would have loved to have bought from them but deal was just too good so ordered from another state. Pickup at Performance Center option.

I would guess it would be the other way around. Only because they have no work to do. You send in your order, they do 10 minutes of work to enter it in and their done. If they have to "sell" you a car, then thats work for them.

Although, I can see them giving someone a better deal on a car they are trying to move. So maybe it depends on the time of year, or how the market is.

Ordered mine about 3 weeks ago. Just checked the status and showing 'Your vehicle has left the plant and is ready to ship.' Hopefully it will arrive in a month or so.

I ordered mine 8 weeks before I knew I would have the money for it. It came in in just over 6 weeks. The dealer gladly held it for me. I think it was less than 2 weeks, about a week and a half. From talking to them they made it sound like they could hold it longer. I didn't want to wait to pick it up!
