28i tune
I know plenty of you have done a tune on your 35i. But couldn't find anyone who has done it on their 28. I am ready to buy just trying to get some feedback. Is it worth it? Pros cons? Any info would help out greatly! Thank you

How long does it take to put it on or take it off if you need to go to the dealer? I have a Split Second Turbo Tuner on my 335 and if you can reach it maybe 1 minute just a bitch to reach it. I may get a 228 convertible and would like a similar tune but easy to get off.

Obviously these tunes boost the hp and torque, but what do they do to mpg? Is there any effect? I have never had a tune-worthy car, so I am exploring now with the X1. Would be fun!

Depends on whether or not you can stay off the loud pedal

As far as mpg is concerned... I haven't noticed any difference either way. And if you're concerned about a few pennies here and there, I'd say your in the wrong class of vehicle to begin with. |

If you really want more speed I would spend the extra $ for the 35i. If not, the 28i has a 8spd and auto stop/start and better gas mileage. By the time you "mod it up" to get 35i speed, you may as well have the warranty of an "unmolested" 35i. Just my thoughts, I drove both and they are both quick enough to not feel slow, even stock.
