Tyre Sizes

Hi bpplaysguitar,
The Tyre Places would have to come up with valid reasons to fit 245's all round (which is recommended Max. for 8'') or 255's like on the rear of raulza's car.
I agree with Twix and would also go with 235's all round as along with 225 it's said to be the ideal tyre.
8.5'' Ideal tyre 235-245 and Max. tyre 255.
I've always mainly been concerned with the Closest Running Diameter, BUT Twix's second comment has added another perspective to my thought process. Thanks Twix you could save me big $. Do I pass the savings on to you, Ha. Ha.
My Std. 225/50/17's when fully tightly turned rub slightly. Get your friend to try/feel his clearance, just for piece of mind.
I said245 would be nice and mentioned inside clearance but now think they might be to wide for the front.

Thanks for the input! It seems like 235 or 245, but I am not 100% sure yet.
