off road?

so, anyone done some sort of light off road? dirt or sand?

curious how capable x1 is. i know its not a truck, but i have seen people on the beach with an outback.

the video you've shown is obviously a Range Rover commercial, is that the X1 rear wheel drive or awd in the commercial?, I have an X drive 35i and with the power it packs it can go up any hill and I believe if you give the right acceleration to any X drive 28i it can go up any hill or pot hole, depends on the driver too...off roading requires some knowledge and driving skills. check these out...

Tires are probably the biggest limiting factor to taking one off road.

I think you are right. The Evoque and even RDX come with higher profile SUV/truck tires while the X1 uses car tires.

Batman...not a commercial but a true review of older AWD diesel versions. The review states X1 is superior on roads and the Evoque offroad.
