Mystery oil

Engine oil is somehow leaking from inside the hood down to one of the bushings, down through the headlight assembly and down the front bumper. My question is where could the oil be coming from? There is no oil in the engine bay just on the hood. It's been 1000-2000 miles since the oil was changed so I don't think its a spill.

Is it white and greasy? For shipping, they spray cosmoline all over the car and it gets into the holes under the hood. Use a degreaser like p21s or Simplegreen. Just realize it will strip wax and most sealants too.

No its yellow like motor oil, and it's over a year old now.
