Bmw x1 xdrive clunk help
Hi I've got a bmw x1 xdrive and at low speed when braking coming to a stop it seems to clunk as if something has slipped or abs kicked in not really sure and its hard to explain its like a thud. Got no idea what it is the car drives perfect otherwise, gears work perfect and engine pulls. Has anyone encountered any similar issue it's only when your braking at really low speed like 10mph or lower but also it doesn't do it all the time but does do it often. Hope someone can help

Drive it in manual mode to see if it is related to auto down gear.

It is a manual not auto, I've been reading alot and people mention tyres on the awd models have to be all the same tread depth within a certain % otherwise the diff is playing catch up just wondering whether this could be the issue before spend £400 on new tyres which don't really need
