Sirius XM options

Does anybody know if there are any “built in” options to run Sirius XM either on the stock system or aftermarket?

I thought I saw somewhere that the E84 radio was Sirius “ready”, but after a call today to Sirius, they say the X1 is not on their list.

Any suggestions?

I have a Sirius XM subscription on my X1 and it works great... however, I'm using the CIC system (with the screen and Navigation). Which system do you have?

I don’t have the CIC or the idrive. I’m planning on an aftermarket drop in unit from China.

you can always get a subscription and use your phone through the aux input, that way you don't have to spend on extra hardware

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would clarify. Not all X1s are Sirius ready. Most have the Sirius module in the car, but if not turned on by BMW in one of the add on packages, it's just dormant. To activate that dormant function you need to reprogram your car with that function. Then you can go to Sirius.

Services like Bimmertech can take care of activation for you.

This.

I even push it thru BT and it sounds really good on my 2013 non HK system em. Sound better than any stock system I have had in a car before.

I do have the subs under the seat.

That's why Sirius says you can't. I just moved my Sirius subscription from my old X3 to my E84 X1 last week.
