OEM base carrier crossbars won't fit
Hey guys,
I got the OEM base carrier cross bars, but the feet at the rear bar are too wide, even at its narrowest setting, to fit onto the roof rails. The front bar fits fine. Has anyone else had this issue? |

Depends what type of roof rail?
My X1 has those solid roof rails and prior to attach the crossbar I measured per the instructions for the front bar and also the rear bar to where should they be mounted, plus installed those guide decals on the door frames, so when I removed the bars and in the future install the same I know where they go.
I don't know what year is your X1 does it have those center gapped roof rails? it might make a difference or different OEM part #. |

Im not sure what center gapped means, but they are black, and do not have a gap between the roof and the rail like on some bigger cars. The part number was verified with the VIN but the online dealer is pretty useless for help.
