Has anyone gotten a retrofit?

Wondering if anyone has yet to get a retrofit/ upgrade for the BMW assist on a 2014 X1 as of yet?
My dealer was going to accommodate me after selling a CPO 2014 X1 and telling me a new subscription would be available, which of course it is not (at least not past next month.) NOW, he is telling me the retrofit is not available for my vehicle. Anyone have it done yet?

Yeah you have to physically opt for the retrofit option (or the gift card option) on their site to get it authorized with BMW.

Thanks for the info, all.
My situation is different as I wrote since I do not technically qualify for a retrofit as the X1 was sold as a CPO with no active subscription and the dealer gave us misinformation regarding the availability of the services (there is, obviously, NO availability past next month without an active subscription.) They offered to buy back the vehicle or retrofit it- we want the retrofit.
So they are confused as to how to initiate things to get us the hardware.

That's one reason I ended up getting a 2015 instead of the numerous 2013's in the area. I wanted to be sure I was eligible for the retrofit.

My upgrade was completed last Friday on a 2015 X1 35i. Took two days with programming but had a loaner. All functions are working fine including BMW online, web radio, and other Connectedrive services with a little better response with the 4g combox.Had to pair phone again and redo my custom programming, i.e. 5 flashes on turn signal touch.

It"s bad software, If you are sure you entered last 7 digit correctly it is telling you this is not available to you. It does correctly tell you if you have already selected one of the three options or initially to pick one. Any chance you bought the car after a combox deactivated by the dealer?

Swampman, do you know if it also undoes flashes like the Alpina? My appointment for the combox is next week, and I don't want to undo the Alpina tune. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. For sure correct VIN, but I'll try again. Also, I'm not familiar with what combox is. Could you explain? I'll try to dig up the term.

Not sure about the alpine flash being over ridden with the combox programming. I would venture to say no but since it's BMW approved you can ask it be preserved or redone.

Combox is located under rear cargo deck. Depending on options it controls bluetooth and other online functions, has several connections to roof antenna, and some options include a sim card for BMW online (same as sim card in cell phone for 2G and now 4G networks with upgrade) and calling SOS, etc.

i had my combox replaced last week. i have a 28i so no trans flash. previously coded with carly software. most of the coding was wiped out but not digital speedo. had to redo seat belts, nag screens, locking/unlocking, etc..

Looks like I'm keeping my loaner until tomorrow.

They did my combox today, but when they went to do the coding it kept resetting as they apparently ordered/received the wrong part.

couldn't really tell, still has that weird blue tooth cut out problem where you have to change between aux and Bluetooth to get it back.

I got mine done yesterday. I haven't played around with it so I can't say anything about speed improvements, but I did have to re-code all of my custom programming.
