I don't know if this is a BMW or Apple problem. But in order to get it work, everytime you start the engine and connect your iPhone, wait until it syncs bluetooth and close and reopen your email app from your iPhone (when I say close is double tap to home button and tap the "minus" sign close to the email app icon).
That's all! PS: Check if your notification and bluetooth settings in your iPhone are checked with email and everything. |

Emails don't work yet, not implemented by Apple yet.
Text messages work but only for messages received while paired. Messages are not archived when you power down the vehicle. |
