Using the Android app .........................
I have a 2014 X1 with Idrive
I have a Razr Max (not the HD, but the original Razr Max) When I try to download the available BMW connect drive app from the Market it states "not compatible with my Droid Razr Mazz" Is there any work around or another way to make my Droid function with the BMW apps in my X1. I do stream music from my Droid already but would like to have the other functions the BMW apps offer. Thanks |

BMW Apps are only compatible with Apple products (iPhone).

Sorry, I'm just going by what BMW says on their website. I was under the impression that BMW apps only worked with Apple devices.

You just need to search for it and download the .apk file from outside of the Google Play Store. I can confirm that I am using it on my Galaxy S4 and the remote lock/unlock feature works well.

I might be wrong but I think you are looking at two different things. The "BMW Connected Drive app", I believe, has a limited set of functions, primarily door unlock and send destination (on E-series cars), and is a separate issue from BMW Apps which to date, afaik, only works with iPhones.
