Experience with BMW All Weather Floor Liners & License Plate Frames
So, at long last my x1 is scheduled to be delivered this week, and I have two loose-ends I'd like to tie up before my car arrives. I was hoping y'all could share your experiences with BMW All Weather Floor Liners and/or Slimline License Plate Frames:
http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 The floor liners appear to be a BMW branded version of the Weather Tech floor liners (http://www.weathertech.com/bmw/2014/...er-digitalfit/), which, thank goodness, replaces the horrible Weather Tech badge with a reasonably tasteful Xdrive badge. Does anyone have these? Experiences? They fit as well as it seems they should? How do they hold up? I'd love to see some real world photos too, pretty please. Up here in the Pacific North West, I consider all weather matts to be essential, add in a toddler to the mix and they become required. Also, does anyone have the BMW Slimline License Plate Frames? Usually i just put my plates on the cars with no frame at all, but i actually like the looks of these and am curious how they look on car, and what level of quality they are, especially the faux carbon-fiber. Any photos would be appreciated. In fact, I'v done a ton of searching but I haven't been able to find many photos of x1s, particularly Xline trims, with any front plates at all. I'd love to see some real photos of how y'alls front plates look, frames or not. Thanks everyone!

I have the Weathertech and honestly have not even seen the badge in the 20 months I've owned it.

How do you like them? Have they held up well? Thanks in advance. *Note: I am a graphic designer and a little ocd by nature (as many designers tend to be, and the weather tech logo and typography is an abomination to my eyes, so it's the kind of thing that would drive me nuts.

And how do you like them? It seems like the rubber might be a little softer, and therefore more comfortable, than the weather tech liner ones? However it seems like the liner-style matts would offer a bit more protection and containment.

The Weathertech mats are great and the BMW version was not available when I ordered. I have an S Drive so I thought X Drive was pretty stupid anyway. Don't know why they couldn't just put BMW on them.

We have the xdrive all weather floor mats in beige. Great for winter driving as they caught much of the muck from shoes. About the only place that gunk gets past the mats is at the accelerator peddle. For any place where you are tracking snow / mud / wet shoes etc I would get them over the "rubber" version.
As for the license plate frame - I can not say as we got the M version because I wanted to cover the dumb azz state motto for Oootah. Ya ain't got that with Orygun plates. We got the black version which looks nice on the alpine white. PS shop around some dealers offer accessories for ~30% off MSRP. |

Just get the dealer to throw that shit in for the final signing. It's not like either our both items will hurt the dealer. My dealer threw in mats and some other small tidbits.

there is a thread in here where I post pictures with my Xdrive winter mats plus my impressions. look it up.
I have the summer ones and I have the winter ones. Both BMW sets are very nice. the winter ones worth the investment, at least for me since I run in the snow a lot of time. I wish BMW would have a normal acceleration pedal since all the water drips on the floor and no mat can cover properly that area. I have did some DIY stuff to prevent that anyway. Thanks for tracking it down! Those photos you took are fantastic and are definitely the best I've seen anywhere at showing how they fit and just how much area they cover (a lot). Thanks again.

try circlebmwparts.com - they recently removed their prices because they were significantly discounting and I bet other BMW dealers complained. So make up a list and give them a call.
