HUGE rattling noise coming from back (speakers i think)

ok.. my x1 just created some non stop huge rattling noise from the back.. coming out near the speaker area at the top..

the car wasn't on.. i unlocked door and it was there..

lasted about 5 minutes and disappeared..

anyone had same issue?

Im having rattles from the dash console/radio area when driving down HYW and 2nd rattle sounds like between the motor and windshield at low rpm's. I have two different rattles!!!. Its driving me %*^%*^nuts I just paid 50k for this car and this is starting!

Im going to be at the BMW service 8:00 sharp Monday!

other than that I LOVE THE CAR

You'll hear lots rattles. Doors, tailgate and dash on mine are all bad.

Been into BMW twice... and not fixed any of them. I just turn the stereo up now and ignore them.

Not good, but a sign of a cheaper materials and a budget X in my opinion.

this is not a soft rattleing sound, its LOUD. its like coming out of the speakers

Was the speaker producing sound? If the car wasn't on or moving, you must have a critter in there. :

I also had some rattling from the doors, took it to the dealer and they fixed it. they did something with the door and oiled some things

I have had mine for a little over 2 years now and not a single rattle. I don't think it is the cheaper materials and a budget X

I may have a Friday car, but I'm surprised at the amount of rattles.

My 'worst' one is in the rear passenger door where it becomes a violent vibration. Imagine sticking a pencil in a desk fan and you'll get the idea. My daughter won't sit on that side of the car at the moment.

What annoys me is the fact BMW can never find the cause. I've demo'd it to the dealer, but they still can't fix it.

The cars going in again to have some other work done, so I'll mention it again... along with my 2nd juddery clutch (
