Is dealer being honest?
Took my car in for service after my passenger rear suspension basically fell apart. The bolt that holds the trackbar to the knuckle fell out while driving.
Dealer is quoting me new knuckle and wheel bearing, $1230 installed... wtf. I asked my SA why the wheel bearing had to be replaced and he stated you could not seperate the knucle from the wheel bearing without damaging it. Is this true? Thanks |

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...30&hg=33&fg=30 no wheel bearing part number for your model so yes the knuckle comes with pressed bearing already. And the way dealer tech works is just replacing part with OEM. |

dealers suck. Find another reputable mechanic and have them do it, after my warranty/maintenance is up i will never return to the dealer.

The BMW tech rate is probably $105-$125 an hour depending on part of the country and yes the brake+suspension have to come off to get to the knuckle so about 5-6 hour is reasonable. |
