17s on a 35

i know the 35 has bigger breaks.

Anyone know which BMW 17 inch wheels (if any) I can put on it.

I'm thinking of winter snow and summer off-ish roading.

What offset do I need?
spacers required?

Forgive the potential redundancy in bumping this up.

Have a '14 35i w/ stock 18" wheels. Found a good deal on snows mounted on 17" wheels- and like prior post like the idea of the extra cushion for winter driving.

Will it be any issue to put the 17" x1 wheels on my 35i that is set up for the 18" wheels?

Prior answer sounds like no issue, but would love some additional assurance from the knowledgeable collective before plunking down the $

Many thanks!

It depends on the wheels. I trust duchess.

Duchess, what wheels did you use?

They're OEM X1 rims (part 6789141), so should be no different aside from the 17" instead of 18" bit

They were BMW OEM. I'd have to dig deep for the style #. But they were the BBS look. Sorry I'm blanking

Would the specific wheel model matter if both were BMW oem 17"?

Duchess if you've run 17s on the 35i without issue I trust that it's no problem, no need to dig up part # details.

But if anyone else thinks this will not work, def chime in. Here in Vermont during the winter having thicker tires on rough snowy roads will be beneficial. Save the 18s for the better driving seasons.

PS- Duchess, love the corg. We have two of our own

Snow tires made that rear wheel drive 335i completely stable in the Wisconsin winters. They worked well on the x1. But I switched over to Pilot A/S given that it's all wheel drive. I still have 'em

Yeah, corgis are something else. Ours brinks us joy.
